LODGE ACCOMMODATION FOR GROUPS
Our lodge accommodation is open for both larger and smaller groups. We have hosted many groups over the past few years, both families, friends and school and corporate groups who have been able to come and enjoy our facilities to the full. COVID-Secure measures as recommended will remain in place for the good health of all our guests and to ensure we can remain open and not disappoint.
We have five lodges available for families and groups of up to 30+ on a self-catering basis who will enjoy exclusive use of this spacious site on a private farm.
This is an all age location that is rustic and outdoorsy, but comfortable and relaxing. Perfect for families and groups wanting a special place to enjoy time together in peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful countryside. The bush camp shelter is spacious, practical and can accommodate a bigger group. There are good cooking facilities, a large BBQ area where you can sit under the stars and plenty of room to roam.
Set in 70 acres of farmland in Somerset, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the charming, simple yet comfortable lodges with good hot showers, are tucked away in their own valley, a secluded natural haven with stunning views across the farmland and hills beyond. This location is ideally suited as a base for all country pursuits which can include outdoor adventure activities from hiking, mountain biking, cycling, paddle boarding, coasteering, to caving and climbing, subject to availability.

We went to Outposts for our friend’s stag party last weekend. There were 14 of us spread across three of the 5 lodges on site. The listing doesn’t do outposts justice, it’s a really impressive setup with clean and comfortable lodges, powerful showers, and a huge kitchen/entertainment area. The host even mowed a football pitch especially for us, we had outdoor fires, BBQ, sports competitions with no worry of disturbing anyone (quite isolated).
I would certainly use the space again for a group event!
Rustic, inviting and spacious, the Bush Camp offers the wildness of the outdoors while still providing the comforts of a bed and a roof over your head.
Set in its own private valley and surrounded by luscious, rolling green fields, the camp feels 1,000 miles from anywhere, and yet is only a 20min drive from the nearest town. We were a group of 12 and had more than ample space – there’s a field nearby where you can play rounders, football etc. It felt great to be “off-grid” and to enjoy the company, the roar of the fire and to gaze at a sky full of stars. Catherine and Michael were outstanding hosts who made us feel very welcome, adding personal touches which helped make our stay the best it could be.
Can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be looking to book again in the future. Thank you very much!
WHY STAY AT OUTPOSTS?
Outposts’ large group accommodation and activities are based in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Quantock Hills. We’re tucked away on a 70-acre farm surrounded by stunning countryside and not a lot else.
We believe in the power of the great outdoors and there is certainly enough evidence out there to confirm that exposure to nature improves health and well being. Even if it is just for a weekend, that opportunity to switch off and relax is invaluable.
Outposts was founded on the back of strong eco-friendly values from day one and they continue to drive the business today. This includes green energy, eco-loos and showers, recycling and a mindset where thinking of the environment comes first.
Due to the beautiful secluded location, mobile signal is dire and 4G is a miracle when you can connect to it. We’ve got WiFi in our offices but the Bush Camp remains wonderfully unconnected so you can enjoy a full digital detox.
“It was so great to have the team organise the activities for the large group to ensure the bride was stress free to enjoy herself”
