Groups - Outposts

Welcome to our cosy timber clad Bush Camp Lodges with space for up to 80. Set within 70 acres in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the lodges are tucked away at the end of the track, in your own private corner of Somerset countryside. You will find yourselves in a secluded haven with stunning views across the farmland and hills beyond. We hope you find our lodges a relaxing retreat.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: In line with current restrictions, we only have two lodges available for family, household and social bubble groups of up to 18. The upside of the situation is that you will get exclusive use of the whole site. Find out more about what we have on offer for 2020 bookings.

See the information on our Coronavirus secure measures.

In light of the Coronavirus restrictions in place, you can now hire out the lodges and the whole site exclusively. Find out more about our 2020 packages.

Activities we can offer on-site include archery, air guns, team building tasks and bush craft. Off-site experiences include coasteering, stand-up paddling, climbing and caving. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Some activities will not be available due to current restrictions. Contact us for the most up to date information.

Venue Hire

Are you looking for a rustic, countryside venue in Somerset for an event? We offer our venue ‘The Bush Camp’ and its large group accommodation for anyone looking for a dry hire. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: currently we are unable to hire out our site for events. Watch this space for updates as restrictions change.

Outposts’ large group accommodation and activities are based in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Quantock Hills. We’re tucked away on a 70-acre farm surrounded by stunning countryside and not a lot else.

We believe in the power of the great outdoors and there is certainly enough evidence out there to confirm that exposure to nature improves health and well being. Even if it is just for a weekend, that opportunity to switch off and relax is invaluable.

Outposts was founded on the back of strong eco-friendly values from day one and they continue to drive the business today. This includes green energy, eco-loos and showers, recycling and a mindset where thinking of the environment comes first.

Due to the beautiful secluded location, mobile signal is dire and 4G is a miracle when you can connect to it. We’ve got WiFi in our offices but the Bush Camp remains wonderfully unconnected so you can enjoy a full digital detox.

“It was so great to have the team organise the activities for the large group to ensure the bride was stress free to enjoy herself”

Our site is currently completely closed, in line with government regulations, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are aiming to re-open our site to group accommodation from the 4th July 2020, pending government restrictions being lifted.
