Stay home and save lives
The most important action the rest of us can take, in fighting this outbreak, is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives. Therefore, in line with government guidance Outposts has temporarily closed its site. We shall carefully monitor and take appropriate action in line with Government advice going forward.
We have been in direct contact with all clients affected by our temporary closure and we are working together to reschedule programmes where possible and process cancellations if not.
a) To keep our clients and staff safe.
b) To continue to serve our clients at the highest possible standards.
c) To do our part to slow community spread in Somerset and other areas across UK where we operate.
Open for business
Although no programmes are running at this point, rest assured that we remain open for business, albeit with a skeleton staff working remotely. In the first instance, please email email@example.com to arrange a call back. Normal office hours are 0900-1700, but as staff are working from home there may be a delay in our response to you.
Keeping active. Getting outside.
The physical and mental benefits of being active and outdoors are well documented, and one could argue that now more than ever these will help us through this most challenging of times. We will be posting regular updates here and on our social channels (@ukOutposts) with ideas on outdoor learning. Tips for school staff still working on site for taking lessons outside to help maintain social distancing as well as boosting the well-being of students. For those of us who now find ourselves as home educators, some respite from the same four walls with ideas for ‘lessons’ using any available outside space and inspiration on how to make the most of your daily dose of exercise outside as a learning opportunity.
None of us can predict what the future holds and there will no doubt be tough times ahead, but we are 100% committed to our clients, staff and the wider community. We will be working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we come back with improved programmes to enable all the people we work with to get outside and develop skills for a brighter future, as soon as we possibly can.
Thank you for your understanding. Keep safe and take care.
