Colonel Michael Kingscote: Managing Director & Founder of Outposts

On completion of a full military career during which he commanded a UK Special Forces Regiment, Michael founded Outposts Ltd in 1997 with his wife, DD Kingscote. Since then the company has expanded to provide corporate events, expeditions and outdoor training to over 9,000 clients annually.

Michael's wide military experience encompasses the conventional and the unorthodox. He has led challenging expeditions in many parts of the world, particularly in the deserts and mountains of the Middle East and Africa. His life has always been an active one and he fully appreciates the need in peoples' lives to be able to work alone or to benefit from working as a team. His extraordinary military background and expertise in expedition leading make him well qualified for the task.

He is an Accredited Practitioner of The Institute of Outdoor Learning, Honorary Colonel of the Reserves Training and Mobilisation Centre (RTMC) and the Ensign to Her Majesty's Bodyguard to the Yeoman of The Guard.
