Leadership and Prefect Training
Outposts specialises in learning outside the classroom. We provide on and off site team-building, survival, leadership and prefect training for both large and small groups. These can be day programmes or residential.
Leaders have to be able to communicate, command respect, be courageous and decisive; they should be fair, honest and have integrity. They need to be motivators and organisers, have presence, set an example and be reliable.
By creating inspiring tasks, challenges, scenarios and adventure activities both cerebral and physical, guided by professional instructors, our schools leadership training programmes aim to give students an opportunity to develop skills for life and turn them into contributing adults.
Individually designed programmes
Every school has specific aims and requirements so our Leadership days are specially designed following a discussion of aims by Managing Director
Michael Kingscote,
who has a lifetime's experience of leadership and man management and a real affinity with young people.
Choose between a one off experience or a series of progressive programmes aimed at developing skills over a number of visits.
The Courses comprise :
An evaluation of leadership skills and qualities.
Case studies and role playing.
Multi task problems for large groups (up to 150) of aspirant leaders and prefects.
The following format is recommended.
First: A leadership workshop run by Michael Kingscote at your school with all participants, presenting verbal and mental tasks encouraging open discussion on many relevant issues.
Second: An exciting activity day involving team tasks leading to an all encompassing team finale involving all participants.
