WHO IS THIS FOR?
Open to any primary school teaching staff.

COVERING:

  • Outdoor learning case studies – what other schools do and why.
  • Experiencing a short outdoor lesson first-hand – linked to areas of the national curriculum
  • Discuss barriers to learning outdoors.
  • Mind-map curriculum-focused lessons.
  • Create lesson plans to take away with you.

AIM:
Our aim is for you to return to school feeling energised, confident and positive about taking your lessons outside the classroom and armed with plenty of ideas.

CPD workshop programme

Over the course of the evening we will briefly look at the facts surrounding the benefits of Outdoor Learning and case studies of schools successfully utilising Outdoor Learning in their daily practise.

Following a look at the evidence we will head outside for a short practical session to look at a couple of examples of fun, educational and curriculum focused lessons.

The final phase of the workshop will be to get the creative juices flowing, overcome the barriers to getting outside and creating workable lesson plans to take back to school with you.

  • Refreshments will be provided.
